Ronald Angsiy, Senior Vice President, Intellabridge

Ronald AngSiy is a SpaceX investor, Wharton MBA graduate from the University of Pennsylvania, and founder of a $25 million healthcare IoT company backed by Y-Combinator. Ronald has previously served as a corporate venture capitalist and management consultant, working with clients such as Walmart, Eli Lilly, PepsiCo, and Norwegian Cruise. Currently, Ronald serves as Senior Vice President at Intellabridge, a Mastercard-incubated, publicly traded decentralized finance company offering 10% stable interest on cash deposits. Ronald is also founder and administrator of a UPenn crypto professionals group with 300+ students and alumni.

Witold Henisz, Deloitte & Touche Professor of Management; Director, Political Risk Lab; Founder, ESG Analytics Lab, The Wharton School

Witold J. Henisz is the Deloitte & Touche Professor of Management in Honor of Russell E. Palmer, former Managing Partner at The Wharton School, The University of Pennsylvania. He is also Director of the Wharton Political Risk Lab and the founder of the Wharton ESG Analytics Lab. His research examines the impact of political hazards as well as environmental, social and governance factors more broadly on the strategy and valuation of global corporations. This work analyzes best practices in corporate diplomacy to win the hearts and minds of external stakeholders as well as the measurement thereof. He has published over three dozen peer-reviewed articles in top-ranked journals in international business, management, international studies and sociology, is the author of the book “Corporate Diplomacy: Building Reputations and Relationships with External Stakeholders” and co-authored over twenty teaching cases. Witold has won multiple teaching awards at the graduate and undergraduate levels including being named Iron Prof, 2019 and an Aspen Institute Ideas Worth Teaching Award Winner, 2020. He also teaches extensively on the topic of Corporate Diplomacy as well as ESG integration in open enrollment and custom executive education programs. He is currently a principal in the consultancy PRIMA LLC whose clients span multinational firms, asset managers, intergovernmental organizations and non-governmental organizations.

Sarah Light, Associate Professor of Legal Studies & Business Ethics, The Wharton School

Sarah E. Light is an Associate Professor of Legal Studies and Business Ethics at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, where she teaches Environmental Management, Law, and Policy. She is co-Faculty Leader of the Wharton Risk Center’s Business, Climate, and Environment Lab, as well as Advisor to both the undergraduate concentration and MBA major in Business, Energy, Environment, and Sustainability. Her research examines issues at the intersection of environmental law, corporate sustainability, and business innovation. Her articles have appeared in top law reviews. Prior to joining the Wharton faculty, Professor Light served for ten years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, including four years as Chief of the Environmental Protection Unit. Professor Light earned her J.D. from Yale Law School, an M. Phil in Politics from Oxford University where she was a Rhodes Scholar, and an A.B. from Harvard College.

Michael Mandel, Vice President and Chief Economist, Progressive Policy Institute

Dr. Michael Mandel is chief economist and vice president at the nonprofit Progressive Policy Institute in Washington DC and senior fellow at the Mack Institute for Innovation Management at the Wharton School (UPenn). He was chief economist at BusinessWeek prior to its purchase by Bloomberg.

Mandel supervises PPI’s research on the economics of innovation and growth in both the public and private sectors. Some key current issues include the interaction of regulation and innovation; the economic benefits of digital manufacturing; job creation by new technologies such as ecommerce and 5G; pharmaceutical pricing and innovation in the era of Covid; regulation of cross-border data flows; and ESG metrics.

Mandel has written four books, including The High Risk Society. His economics textbook Economics:The Basics, is in its fourth edition. He received a PhD in economics from Harvard University, and taught at NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Eric Orts, Guardsmark Professor; Professor of Legal Studies & Business Ethics; Professor of Management, The Wharton School

Eric is the Guardsmark Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he has taught since 1991.  He is a tenured professor in the Legal Studies and Business Ethics Department with a secondary appointment in the Management Department.  He also serves as the faculty director of the Initiative for Global Environmental Leadership and faculty co-director of the FINRA/Wharton Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional Program. His primary research and teaching interests are in business theory, corporate governance, environmental sustainability, securities regulation, and professional ethics.

Scott Snyder, Chief Digital Officer, Eversana

Dr. Snyder is a recognized thought leader in technology and innovation. He has more than 30 years of experience in emerging technologies, business strategy and innovation, and digital transformation for Global 1000 companies and startup ventures. He is the co-author of Goliath’s Revenge: How Established Companies Turn the Tables on Digital Disruptors and the author of The New World of Wireless: How to Compete in the 4G Revolution and numerous other articles on emerging technologies and innovation.

Dr. Snyder is currently the Chief Digital Officer of EVERSANA focused on accelerating the life sciences commercialization model. Dr. Snyder was recently the Global Head of Digital and Innovation at Heidrick Consulting. Before Heidrick, he was the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Safeguard Scientifics which provides capital and relevant expertise to fuel the growth of technology-driven businesses in healthcare, financial services and digital media. Prior to Safeguard, Dr. Snyder was the Co-Founder, President and Chief Strategy Officer at Mobiquity (recently acquired by Hexaware), a leader in delivering innovative mobile and digital solutions for enterprises. Dr. Snyder has also held executive positions with several Fortune 500 companies including GE and Lockheed Martin, has been the CEO of a leading strategic planning firm, Decision Strategies International (now part of Heidrick & Struggles), and has also started business ventures in software including OmniChoice, a CRM/Analytics applications provider.

Dr. Snyder is a Senior Fellow in the Management Department at the Wharton School, an Adjunct Faculty Member in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania, and has lectured at MIT, Babson, Duke, Georgia Tech and INSEAD on Digital Innovation, Decision-making, Business and IT Strategy, Emerging Technologies, Product Design and Development, and Big Data/Analytics. Dr. Snyder is a Digital Economy Project Fellow for the World Economic Forum and sits on the Penn Health Tech Advisory Board. He also holds three patents for personalization engines and has been quoted as a thought leader in numerous publications including CIO Magazine, WIRED, Forbes, Knowledge@Wharton, Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and the Financial Times.

Dr. Snyder earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from University of Pennsylvania.

Harbir Singh, Co-director, Mack Institute; Mack Professor of Management, The Wharton School; Faculty Director, Huntsman Program

Harbir Singh is committed to global business research and education, and he has served as vice dean for Global Initiatives at the Wharton School. He focuses on the development of world-class capabilities and of sustainable competitive advantage. His main interests in research and teaching lie in three areas: strategic leadership, growth and innovation via alliances and acquisitions, and the evolution of competitive strategy.

Harbir has won multiple awards for outstanding research in strategic management at the Academy of Management in addition to awards for teaching. He received the Academy of International Business Decade Award for his co-authored work on determinants of modes of entry by multinational firms into new country markets. He was chair of the Business Policy and Strategy Division of the Academy of Management and is the former dean of the fellows of the Strategic Management Society. He is the author of several books on strategy and leadership in a global setting.

Harbir received his PhD at the University of Michigan. He is the academic director for several of Wharton’s open enrollment executive programs, including Creating and Implementing Strategy for Competitive Advantage and Driving Growth through Strategic Partnerships, and is a lead faculty member in the Mergers and Acquisitions program. Additionally, he teaches and directs numerous customized programs for companies and associations around the world.

Harbir has been a visiting faculty member at London Business School; Bocconi University in Milan; and the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, as well as a founding faculty member of the Indian School of Business. He has also conducted executive seminars on competitive advantage, globalization, acquisitions, and alliances for many companies including IBM Corporation, Pfizer, Verizon, AT&T, and Daimler.
