In March 2013, Gita Surie, a senior fellow with the Mack Institute, was honored with a Fulbright Fellowship. The award will allow Professor Surie to travel to different parts of India, continuing her research on how green technologies are making basic necessities such as power and clean water more accesible in the nation’s myriad rural villages.
Innovation in green technologies and the potential for improving rural India’s quality of life represents a continuing area of interest in Professor Surie’s published research.
