The “Metaverse revolution” envisioned by tech scions like Mark Zuckerberg may not be here yet, but major players across industries are getting ready for it. Citi Analysts called the Metaverse market a “trillion dollar opportunity” and heavy-hitting firms from Ford to Gucci have made headlines with their recent forays into immersive technology.
Here at Wharton, Professor Kevin Werbach has launched the Ivy League’s first certificate program in the metaverse, exploring how technologies like Web3, VR, and AR will impact the business of tomorrow. In that spirit, the Mack Institute is proud to announce the topic of our Fall ’22 Conference: Leveraging the Metaverse for Innovation.
Together with Wharton faculty and our industry partners, we’ll explore the disruptive technologies enabling new platforms, as well as the Future of Work, Metaverse marketing, and more.
Key questions to be discussed include:
- What is fundamentally new and disruptive about the Metaverse as a technology? How does it reshape markets and organizations?
- How does the Metaverse spark innovations in products, services, business models, and management?
- How can companies manage such innovations to realize the Metaverse’s promises and neutralize its threats?
The day-long event will also include an extended reality (XR) workshop and tech demonstration.
This event is open to members of our Industry Partners Network only. Interested in learning more about the benefits of membership? Contact us here.
