Mack Center core team member Saikat Chaudhuri spoke to Knowledge@Wharton about the recent United Arab Emirates purchase of a 24% stake in India’s Jet Airways.
As Air India complains of “unfair competition,” Chaudhuri observed that “external shocks,” such as the Jet Airways deal, could derail the initial signs of a turnaround at Air India. “I have been a vociferous supporter of government backing for Air India,” he noted.
