Mack Institute Senior Fellow Jon DeGaynor has been appointed president and CEO of Methode Electronics, a leading global supplier of custom solutions for user interface, LED lighting system and power distribution applications.
DeGaynor has a 35 year career working at a high level in the automotive and manufacturing industries. He has held multiple cross-functional leadership roles focused on ushering in new technology and organizational transformation. Prior to joining Methode, he was president and CEO of Stoneridge, a designer and manufacturer of highly engineered electrical and electronic systems, components and modules for the automotive industry, from 2015 to 2023. DeGaynor holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Wharton School.
Since January 2024, DeGaynor has been actively involved in Mack Institute’s Program on Vehicle and Mobility Innovation as a Senior Fellow, sharing his expertise with student teams and contributing to practitioner roundtables and conferences. “We are thrilled to see Jon take on this new challenge at Methode Electronics,” said Valery Yakubovich, Executive Director at the Mack Institute. “His deep industry knowledge and innovative mindset will undoubtedly drive significant advancements for the company.
