On February 24th, 2018, the Penn Aerospace Club will host the inaugural Penn Aerospace Pitch Competition, where student teams are invited to pitch aerospace-related startup ideas for the chance to win $5,000 and earn feedback on their ideas.
The Penn Aerospace Club is proud to count the Mack Institute as a partner for its pitch competition. The Mack Institute’s sponsorship will cover a portion of the cash prizes rewarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. This event is designed to help promote aerospace sector entrepreneurship while challenging both undergraduate and graduate-level students to hone their teamwork, communication, and analytical skills. About the Penn Aerospace Club
The Penn Aerospace Club (PAC) is a group of about 70 students who participate in engineering projects and student-led seminars as well as industry events. The engineering projects include a Rocketry Team working to earn High Power Rocket certifications from the National Association of Rocketry, an Aircraft Team competing in the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics’ Design Build Fly competition, and a Balloon Team launching balloons to ~100,000 feet and conducting high-altitude experiments. An Operations Team facilitates logistical and financial needs for the project teams, while also planning events to promote a vibrant aerospace community on campus, such as the pitch competition. Other events include recruitment and speaker events with aerospace companies, as well as site visits to view hangers and observe launches. Learn more at pennaero.com.
