With over 200 million smartphone users and almost 2 billion social media users worldwide, empowered end-users and emerging digital technologies are driving disruption to established business models. Almost every industry has felt the impact: transportation incumbents have been disrupted by new entrants like Uber and Lyft, healthcare by challengers such as Welldoc and Propeller Health, and retail by RueLaLa and Aisle 411. Some large players have adapted well, but others are still playing catch-up.
This conference will bring together perspectives from academia, emerging tech players, and large enterprises to explore the opportunities and challenges in harnessing the power of digital technologies and empowered end-users. We will provide a balance of frameworks for understanding these challenges, as well as real insights from companies involved in David-versus-Goliath situations. As usual, this will be a highly interactive conference, with presentations by industry experts plus various networking opportunities.
Participants will leave the conference with new insights, frameworks, and examples to help understand how their own organizations might better position themselves to ride this highly dynamic, user-driven digital wave.
