MIDAs is organizing an industry-academia panel on big data and innovation. The discussion will be analyzing the main recent trends in the domain of big data – including business analytics, data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence – and their impact on firms’ innovation activities.
Our panel will consist of Mo Patel, Practice Director, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning from Teradata, as well as Lynn Wu, Assistant Professor of Operations, Information and Decisions. Our two PhD student moderators are Alex Miller (OIDD), Hideto Koizumi (BEPP).
The industry-academia panel is an experiment to bring together practitioners, professors, PhD students, and researchers to discuss a relevant topic in the area of innovation. The goal is to create an opportunity to bring research closer to practice and to inform practice with research.
The event is primarily directed to Wharton PhD students. MIDAs’ events are supported by the Mack Institute.
