The need to measure innovation is not new, but the challenge of identifying the right metrics is becoming more difficult in a world of swiftly changing business models. Businesses are becoming increasingly digitized, and while there is no dearth of innovation metrics, picking the relevant ones is critical for success.
In the past, the Mack Institute has examined the need for benchmarking in an era of rapid industry convergence. This conference takes the conversation further with a focus on measuring innovation at the firm level. We’ll discuss how to design the right innovation metrics for digital businesses, address their challenges and pitfalls, and analyze successful measurement practices.
Sessions will focus on understanding the differences between digitization and digital innovation and how to strategically implement both quantitative and qualitative measurements. The conference will feature an interactive faculty-led workshop for participants to explore metrics frameworks and apply the day’s learnings to their own firms.
This full day event will bring together perspectives from academia and cross-industry practitioners to explore the opportunities and challenges in harnessing metrics for digital innovation. Participants will leave the conference with new frameworks and best practices to help understand how their own organizations might better position themselves as leaders in their fields and beyond.
